Homemade Pug Cup Cakes

Being a pug owner of a beautiful fawn pug called Cookie, as a family we have a slight obsession with everything pug related, I couldn’t resist the chance to make some pug cup cakes to surprise my daughter for her sleepover party.

My Pug Cookie

Cooking a basic cup cake recipe and allowing these to cool down, I removed the cup cakes from their paper cases and then began to build my pug face cake using fondant icing.

I started by dying each element of the pug, from the fawn skin colour to the little pink tongue and then I began to place the pug cake together using water to stick the fondant to the pug cake face.

I am super proud of these little pug cup cakes and would make them again – only problem is I was baking and rolling fondant icing till 1am in the morning, but totally worth the result.
