My breakfast routine can sometimes be a drama with children, this breakfast recipe for Cinnamon French Toast is incredibly quick, easy to make and can be rustled up before the children need to be in school, or at their Saturday morning club.
It looks fantastic if you are impressing guests for breakfast or brunch and with very little ingredients on the list, it can be rustled up quickly and looks equally impressive.
This recipe makes between 4-6 cinnamon toasts, depending on the size of the bread.
You will need –
The perfect breakfast
2 Eggs
Splash of milk
Dash of cinnamon
Bread – 2 slices per person
Olive oil for cooking
To garnish-
Fresh Strawberries
Fresh Blueberries
Chocolate spread or sauce
Dusting of icing sugar
1. Mix the eggs, milk and dash of cinnamon together to make a runny mixture.
2. Dip each slice of bread into the mixture and cover both sides
3. Heat some olive oil in a frying pan and when the oil is hot place the egg covered bread into the pan. Cook on both sides until the bread is crispy and toast like – don’t over cook it or burn the bread.
4. When the bread is cooked, place on a plate and garnish with the fresh fruit, drizzle chocolate sauce and sprinkle some icing sugar for effect.
The perfect breakfast for any busy working mum.
